Arsenal End 22-Year Wait with Historic Premier League Title Triumph Amid Wild Early-Morning Celebrations

Arsenal players were seen celebrating with supporters outside the Emirates Stadium at around 5:00 am on Wednesday morning after what fans believed to be a historic Premier League title win—the club’s first in 22 years.

The celebrations began after Manchester City, Arsenal’s closest rivals in the title race, failed to secure a victory against Bournemouth. City needed all three points to stay in contention, and the tension rose across North London as thousands of Arsenal fans gathered outside the stadium to follow the match’s outcome in real time.

As the game unfolded, the atmosphere outside the stadium became increasingly intense. Bournemouth’s opening goal sparked huge celebrations among Arsenal supporters, while Manchester City’s late equaliser briefly kept the race alive. However, the final whistle confirmed a draw, effectively handing the title to Arsenal and triggering widespread celebration across the city.

Shortly after the result became clear, fans lit fireworks and flares around the Emirates, turning the surrounding streets into a sea of red and white. The crowd continued to grow as more supporters rushed from pubs, homes, and nearby areas to join the celebrations.

Inside the club’s setup, the players had already begun their private celebrations at the London Colney training ground alongside manager Mikel Arteta before heading to the Emirates Stadium to celebrate with fans.

Key players such as Declan Rice, Bukayo Saka, and Jurrien Timber were later pictured in an Instagram post shared by teammate Eberechi Eze, showing the squad celebrating deep into the early hours with supporters.

The mood among players was especially emotional given Arsenal’s recent history of narrowly missing out on the title in the previous three seasons. Many expressed that finally winning the league made the achievement even more meaningful after years of disappointment.

Bukayo Saka, one of the club’s leading stars, addressed critics directly during the celebrations, saying that those who doubted the team were “not laughing at us anymore.” He reflected on the long wait, emphasizing that after 22 years, the club had finally silenced its critics.

In another celebratory clip, 19-year-old academy graduate Myles Lewis-Skelly was seen holding a champagne bottle, joking about the team’s previous reputation. He referenced how Arsenal had been labeled “bottlers” in past seasons, adding that the team was now “holding the bottle,” marking their triumph in a playful but defiant moment.

Outside the stadium, emotions ran high among supporters. Fans were seen hanging out of car windows, waving flags, chanting, and embracing strangers in celebration. Many described the moment as surreal and unforgettable.

One supporter, George Owusu-Afriyie, said the victory felt almost unreal, adding that it seemed like something he would wake up from. Another fan, Julia Szumilas, described how people poured out of pubs and rushed toward the stadium on foot, bikes, and cars as soon as Manchester City dropped points, creating chaotic but joyful scenes across the area.

Former Arsenal manager Arsène Wenger also sent a message of congratulations through the club’s social media channels. As the man who led Arsenal’s last title-winning team in 2004, he praised the squad, telling them that champions continue when others stop and encouraging them to enjoy their achievement.

Club legend Ian Wright was also present outside the Emirates, where he was warmly greeted and mobbed by fans during the celebrations, reflecting his enduring status among supporters.

Looking ahead, Arsenal are expected to receive the Premier League trophy officially after their final match of the season against Crystal Palace. Following that, attention will shift to their next major challenge: competing in the Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain in Budapest on May 30, where they will aim to secure their first-ever European crown.
