Seven Terrorists Killed as Security Forces Foil Attack on Construction Camp in Gwadar
Security operation continues near hotel to track down suspected militants; no casualties reported as targeted camp was unoccupied
GWADAR: (News Pulse) Security forces killed seven terrorists during a clearance operation following an attack on an unoccupied construction company camp in Gwadar, security sources said, adding that efforts were underway to track down other suspected militants in the area.
According to security sources, the terrorists affiliated with Fitna al-Hindustan targeted the construction camp, which was empty at the time of the attack. No casualties were reported in the incident.
The attackers, however, set fire to several trucks parked along a nearby road, causing damage to vehicles in the vicinity, the sources said.
Following the attack, security personnel cordoned off areas around a hotel where several other suspected terrorists were reportedly present. A clearance operation was underway to prevent further attacks and neutralise the remaining suspects.
Officials denied reports circulating on social media claiming that security forces, intelligence agencies and their camps had also come under attack. They described such reports as baseless and urged the public to avoid sharing unverified information or treating claims circulated by terrorist organisations as established facts.
Gwadar Administration Rejects Social Media Reports
Meanwhile, the Gwadar administration and police issued a joint statement rejecting reports circulating on social media about the security situation, describing the information as inaccurate.
The statement said the law and order situation in the BP-250 area and its adjoining localities was under control following timely action by security forces and relevant intelligence agencies.
The administration urged residents to remain calm and refrain from spreading rumours or sharing unverified claims. It advised the public to rely on authentic information released by the police and relevant government institutions.
Gwadar police assured residents that all necessary measures were being taken to maintain law and order and ensure public safety.
Mohsin Naqvi Praises Security Forces
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi praised security forces for foiling the terrorist attack and eliminating seven militants associated with Fitna al-Hindustan.
In a post on X, the interior minister expressed pride in the bravery and professionalism of security personnel who responded to the incident in Balochistan.
Naqvi said those attempting to obstruct Balochistan’s development and progress through terrorist activities would face a decisive response, stressing that such elements would meet an exemplary end.
He added that the entire nation stood shoulder-to-shoulder with the security forces in their fight against terrorism.
The incident comes amid continued security efforts in Balochistan to counter militant threats and protect infrastructure, development projects and public safety. Security personnel remained engaged in clearance operations to prevent further violence and ensure stability in the affected area.
