IRGC denies reports of US-Israeli attack on Isfahan nuclear facilities
TEHRAN: Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in Isfahan Province has rejected reports circulating on social media claiming that Israeli or US forces had attacked nuclear facilities in the central Iranian province.
In a statement issued on Saturday, the provincial IRGC unit said reports alleging attacks on nuclear centres and facilities in Isfahan were “entirely false.”
The statement clarified that no attack by Israel or the United States had taken place against the province’s nuclear facilities as claimed in the reports.
The IRGC warned that the spread of unverified information amid the prevailing sensitive circumstances could be an attempt by hostile elements to create tension, spread public alarm and disturb psychological calm among the population.
It urged the public to avoid sharing unverified claims, old photographs or videos, and reports originating from unidentified or unreliable sources.
The statement came as unverified reports regarding Iran’s nuclear facilities continued to circulate across social media platforms, prompting authorities to caution the public against relying on information that has not been confirmed through official channels.
