Trump says US-Israel War against Iran ‘going well’, vows continued pressure
WASHINGTON: US President Donald Trump has claimed that the ongoing military campaign by the United States and Israel against Iran is progressing successfully, saying American forces are delivering heavy strikes against Iranian targets and will continue operations until Tehran is forced to retreat.
Speaking to Fox News in an interview with senior White House correspondent Jacqui Heinrich, Trump expressed confidence in the military operation, describing it as a sustained effort that is achieving its objectives.
“It’s going well. All you can do is keep winning, then eventually something will happen,” Trump said.
He added that US forces were striking Iran “hard” and maintaining relentless pressure on its military capabilities.
“But we’re hitting them hard, knocking them out for a loop, and we just keep winning. Eventually they’ll have no choice but to go home,” the US president said.
Trump’s remarks came as tensions across the Middle East continue to intensify amid the conflict involving the United States, Israel and Iran. The situation has also coincided with growing instability across the region, including developments in the Gaza Strip, Lebanon, Iraq and the strategically important Strait of Hormuz, where military activity has raised concerns over regional security and global shipping.
The comments follow a series of military developments reported across the region, with both Washington and Tehran continuing to exchange claims regarding their operations while the wider conflict shows no signs of easing.
Trump did not provide further details on the scope of the latest US military operations or indicate how long the campaign against Iran is expected to continue.
