Pakistan and Türkiye strengthen defence and Aerospace cooperation through high-level Military talks

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR),The Chief of the Air Staff of the Pakistan Air Force, Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, NI (M), HJ, conducted an official visit to the Republic of Türkiye, where he held a series of high-level meetings aimed at strengthening defence cooperation, aerospace collaboration, and technological partnership between the two brotherly nations.
During the visit, Air Chief Marshal Sidhu engaged in strategic discussions with senior Turkish leadership, including Yaşar Güler, Ziya Cemal Kadıoğlu, and Selçuk Bayraktar. These meetings underscored the growing alignment between Pakistan and Türkiye in defence modernization and emerging technologies.
At the Headquarters of the Turkish Air Force, the Pakistani Air Chief was received with a Guard of Honour, reflecting the longstanding respect between the two air forces. The two sides held detailed discussions on expanding operational cooperation through joint military exercises, advanced training programs, and increased professional exchanges. Turkish officials particularly appreciated the contributions of the Pakistan Air Force in training Turkish pilots, highlighting the strength of their ongoing collaboration.
In his meeting with Türkiye’s Defence Minister, both sides reaffirmed the deep-rooted historical, cultural, and strategic ties between Pakistan and Türkiye. They also explored new avenues for cooperation in capacity building, defence production, and aerospace development, with a shared commitment to enhancing regional security and technological self-reliance.
A key highlight of the visit was the engagement with Baykar Technologies, where discussions focused on cutting-edge developments in unmanned aerial systems (UAS), aerospace innovation, and next-generation defence technologies. The interaction reflected a mutual vision to deepen collaboration in high-tech defence solutions and advance joint capabilities in the rapidly evolving field of modern warfare.
