Pakistan Urges U.S.–Iran Dialogue as Diplomatic Efforts for Regional Peace Continue

ISLAMABAD: (News Pulse) Natalie A. Baker, the U.S. Chargé d’Affaires, called on Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar to discuss recent regional developments, according to official sources.

During the meeting, Senator Dar reiterated Pakistan’s consistent position that dialogue and diplomacy remain the only viable means to address ongoing challenges and to achieve lasting peace and stability in the region. He emphasized the importance of constructive engagement in resolving conflicts.

The Deputy Prime Minister also highlighted the need for continued engagement between the United States and Iran. He urged both sides to consider extending the current ceasefire and to prioritize diplomatic efforts to ease tensions.

Ms. Baker acknowledged Pakistan’s constructive and positive role in promoting regional peace, appreciating its efforts in facilitating dialogue and encouraging de-escalation.
