PRESIDENT TRUMP DEMANDS “UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER” FROM IRAN

IRAN WILL HAVE A GREAT FUTURE. ‘MAKE IRAN GREAT’ – President Trump

WASHINGTON:  In a dramatic escalation of the ongoing Middle East conflict, U.S. President Donald J. Trump declared on Friday that there will be “no deal with Iran except UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER!”, setting a maximalist war objective that appears to rule out diplomatic compromise. In a post on his social media platform Truth Social, the president insisted that Tehran must capitulate fully before any agreement or cease‑fire can be considered. Trump’s statement comes nearly one week after a joint U.S.–Israeli military campaign against Iranian targets, which has widened a war now involving multiple nations across the region.

“There will be no deal with Iran except UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER! After that, and the selection of a GREAT & ACCEPTABLE Leader(s), we, and many of our wonderful and very brave allies and partners, will work tirelessly to bring Iran back from the brink of destruction, making it economically bigger, better, and stronger than ever before. IRAN WILL HAVE A GREAT FUTURE. ‘MAKE IRAN GREAT AGAIN (MIGA!)’” — President Donald J. Trump

In his message, Trump laid out a two‑stage vision: first, a complete capitulation of the Iranian regime’s leadership and military forces, and second, the selection of what he termed “great & acceptable leader(s)” who would lead Iran forward. The president further stated that the U.S. and its allies would assist in restoring Iran’s economy to become “bigger, better, and stronger than ever before.” Trump also introduced the slogan “MAKE IRAN GREAT AGAIN (MIGA!)”, echoing his previous political branding.

The ultimatum arrives as military hostilities have intensified across West Asia. Israeli forces continue airstrikes on Iranian military and allied positions, including sites in Tehran and Beirut, while Iran has responded with waves of missile and drone attacks targeting U.S. military bases and allied infrastructure throughout the region. The wider conflict has disrupted regional stability, displaced civilians, and raised fears of broader global economic strain, particularly through disruptions to oil markets.

Iranian officials have rejected Trump’s ultimatum, maintaining readiness for a prolonged conflict and warning against foreign interference. Diplomatic channels, including offers of mediation by other governments, continue to seek ways to de‑escalate, but Trump’s statement appeared to block off negotiations until total Iranian surrender is achieved. Some global leaders and diplomatic analysts have expressed concern that the unconditional surrender demand eliminates middle ground for negotiation, potentially prolonging the war and increasing civilian suffering.

With no indication yet that Iran will capitulate, Trump’s stance places pressure on all sides to prepare for extended operations. The U.S. administration has hinted at expanded military objectives, including dismantling Iran’s missile capabilities and neutralizing its regional influence, while also intimating future involvement in the selection of Iran’s political leadership. As the conflict enters its second week, world leaders, international organizations, and regional powers are watching closely, with calls for calm and diplomatic solutions mounting amid rising casualties and global economic concerns.
