Qalibaf says Iran’s Resistance Accelerating Emergence of New World Order

Iran’s Parliament Speaker, Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, has stated that recent global developments are moving the world toward what he described as a “new world order,” and he linked these changes to Iran’s recent political stance and resilience.

In a post shared on his X (formerly Twitter) account on Saturday night, Qalibaf argued that the international system is currently undergoing rapid transformation. He said the world is approaching a critical turning point where the existing global structure is shifting, and new power dynamics are beginning to emerge.

According to him, the “70-day resistance” shown by the Iranian nation has played a role in accelerating these global changes. He suggested that Iran’s position and actions during this period have contributed to speeding up broader geopolitical shifts already taking place around the world.

Qalibaf wrote that the world is “on the brink of a new order,” emphasizing that the current era is witnessing historic-level transformation in international relations and global power distribution. He referenced remarks by Chinese President Xi Jinping, who has previously described the current period as one of “changes unseen in a century,” and agreed with the assessment that such transformations are intensifying across the globe.

Building on that idea, the Iranian speaker claimed that Iran’s recent resistance efforts have further accelerated this global transition. He portrayed these developments as part of a larger shift away from traditional Western-dominated structures toward a more multipolar international system.

Concluding his message, Qalibaf stated that “the future belongs to the Global South,” suggesting that developing and emerging nations will play a more dominant role in shaping the next phase of global politics and economics.
