Yuji Beleza Makes Dazzling Debut at Sharjah International Book Fair 2025, Begins Journey to Learn Arabic
Dubai, UAE — The 44th Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF) 2025 witnessed a standout cultural moment as globally acclaimed polyglot and digital creator Yuji Beleza made his first appearance in the region, announcing plans to add Arabic to his repertoire of more than 40 languages.
Beleza—whose charismatic multilingual street interviews have earned him millions of followers—captivated crowds at the Social Media Station. Fans eagerly lined up to meet the Japan-born, Ireland-raised influencer, celebrated for turning language into a bridge between cultures.
“This is my first visit to Sharjah and the Middle East,” Beleza said. “I’m already learning Arabic, and I can’t wait to connect with people here in their own language.”
He added that his mission goes far beyond online popularity:
“It was never just about followers; it’s about the beauty of understanding someone through their language.”
With humor, humility, and an approachable presence, Beleza encouraged aspiring creators to embrace persistence.
“Take risks, stay true to what inspires you,” he advised. “I faced many rejections and failed videos before I found my voice. Consistency and authenticity make all the difference.”
Born in Kyoto in 1998 to a Japanese father and Irish mother, Beleza’s multicultural upbringing fueled his passion for languages. His journey began in Ireland as a teenager, learning to communicate with Eastern European neighbors—an interest that eventually became a mastery of dozens of languages, including English, Turkish, German, Russian, Spanish, Danish, and Serbian.
Beleza’s rise on social media began in 2023 after his spontaneous Turkish-language videos went viral. Today, he commands 5.9 million followers on Instagram, 7.2 million on TikTok, and more than 768,000 subscribers on YouTube.
In December 2024, he was appointed Tourism Ambassador of Kazakhstan for advancing cultural dialogue and understanding.
As Sharjah strengthens its position as a global hub for cultural exchange, Beleza’s appearance at SIBF 2025 reflects the fair’s spirit—bringing together diverse voices and celebrating language as a powerful tool for unity and connection.
