Pakistan and Egypt launch joint counter-terrorism exercise thunder-II

ISPR says the exercise aims to enhance professional skills through joint training

CHERAT/ RAWALPINDI (News Pulse): Pakistan and Egypt have commenced a two-week bilateral counter-terrorism exercise, Thunder-II, aimed at enhancing joint operational capabilities and strengthening military cooperation between the two countries.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) , the bilateral counter-terrorism exercise will continue for two weeks.

The exercise began at the Special Operations School, Cherat, with troops from the Special Services Group (SSG) of the Pakistan Army and the Egyptian Army Special Forces participating. The Commandant of the Special Operations School, Cherat, attended the opening ceremony as the Chief Guest.

Exercise Thunder-II is designed to improve professional skills through joint training and foster the exchange of experiences and expertise in counter-terrorism operations. Officials highlighted that the exercise will further consolidate the longstanding military-to-military ties between Pakistan and Egypt, ensuring both forces remain prepared for evolving security challenges.
