Iran warns regional States against hosting ‘Enemy Operations’ amid rising tensions
TEHRAN: Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian on Saturday urged countries in the Middle East not to allow hostile forces to operate from their territories, warning that such actions could undermine regional development and security.
In a statement posted on X, the Iranian president reiterated Tehran’s stance on military engagement, saying the country does not initiate preemptive strikes but will respond forcefully to any attacks on its infrastructure or economic centers.
“We have said many times that Iran doesn’t carry out preemptive attacks, but we will retaliate strongly if our infrastructure or economic centres are targeted,” he stated.
Addressing neighboring nations directly, Pezeshkian added, “If you want development and security, don’t let our enemies run the war from your lands.”
Regional tensions have intensified since February 28, following a joint military operation by the United States and Israel targeting Iran. According to reports, the strikes have resulted in over 1,900 fatalities, including Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei.
In response, Iran has launched a series of drone and missile attacks aimed at Israel and several Gulf states hosting U.S. military facilities, raising concerns over a broader regional conflict.
