ISLAMABAD: The future of Pakistan football is set to take center stage as the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) announced the squad for the SAFF U-17 Championship 2025, kicking off in Sri Lanka from September 15 to 27.
Head Coach Syed Nasir Ismail has put his faith in a talented mix of goalkeepers, solid defenders, creative midfielders, and sharp forwards — all eager to prove themselves at the international level.
The 23-man squad features youngsters from across the country, including goalkeepers Samar Razzaq, Khalil Jibran, and Adil Ali Khan. The defensive lineup boasts names like Nadeem Hussain, Mohammad Alam, and Azizullah, while the midfield engine will be driven by players such as Mustafa Israr, Abdul Samad, and Haroon Rasheed. Up front, the attack will be led by Mohammad Abdullah, Hamza Yasir, and Syed Shahram, among others.
Placed in Group B, Pakistan faces a tough road with matches against Bhutan (Sept 16), Maldives (Sept 19), and a high-voltage showdown against arch-rivals India (Sept 22).
For these young footballers, the championship isn’t just about winning matches — it’s about wearing the green jersey with pride, gaining international exposure, and carrying the hopes of a football-loving nation.
Fans back home will be watching closely, hoping these rising stars can script a new chapter for Pakistan football.
