Dar Calls for Closer Pakistan-Türkiye Coordination to Advance Bilateral AgendaTurkish Ambassador

ISLAMABAD: (News Pulse) Pakistan and Türkiye reviewed progress on bilateral cooperation and preparations for key high-level mechanisms, with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar stressing the need for closer coordination to advance the two countries’ strategic partnership.
Accoding to Foreign Office that the Turkish Ambassador to Pakistan H.E. Irfan Neziroğlu called on Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, during which the two sides discussed bilateral relations, institutional mechanisms and the evolving regional situation.
The Turkish envoy briefed Dar on progress under various bilateral institutional mechanisms aimed at expanding cooperation across multiple sectors, following a series of recent high-level interactions between Pakistan and Türkiye.
Dar reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to further strengthening engagement with Türkiye, particularly in key priority areas of mutual interest.
He emphasised the importance of close coordination between relevant departments in Pakistan and Türkiye to ensure effective preparations for the forthcoming meeting of the Joint Commission and the 8th session of the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council (HLSCC).
The deputy prime minister said enhanced coordination would help advance the bilateral agenda and translate high-level understandings into concrete cooperation between the two countries.
The two sides also exchanged views on developments in the region and discussed the need for diplomatic efforts to address emerging challenges.
Dar underscored Pakistan’s position that dialogue and diplomacy remain the only viable means of resolving disputes and achieving lasting peace, stability and prosperity in the region.
The meeting comes as Pakistan and Türkiye continue to strengthen their political, economic and strategic ties through regular high-level consultations and institutional mechanisms
