Yemen Houthi Claims Drone Strike on Saudi Aramco Facility in Jubail and Jazan
TEHRAN: Yemen’s Armed Forces on Sunday claimed responsibility for a drone strike targeting a Saudi Aramco facility in the Jazan region of Saudi Arabia, saying the attack was carried out in response to alleged Saudi drone violations of Yemeni airspace.
Yemeni military spokesman Brigadier General Yahya Saree said the drone successfully and accurately struck the facility.
According to Saree, the operation came in retaliation for what he described as “provocative actions” by Saudi Arabia, including reconnaissance and surveillance drone flights over northern Yemen, particularly the provinces of Saada and Hajjah, in recent days.
The statement did not provide further details about the extent of damage or possible casualties resulting from the reported strike.
