Security Forces eliminates 15 Terrorists in Balochistan IBOs Under Operation Rad-ul-Fitna-3

Operation were carried out in Mastung, Bolan, Washuk, Awaran, Sibi , Khuzdar, Harnai and Noshki

RAWALPINDI: Security forces have killed 15 terrorists during intelligence-based operations (IBOs) conducted across several districts of Balochistan under the ongoing Operation Rad-ul-Fitna-3, security sources said on Sunday.

According to the sources, the intelligence-driven operations were carried out in Mastung, Bolan, Washuk, Awaran, Sibi, Khuzdar, Harnai and Noshki. A significant quantity of weapons and ammunition was also recovered from the terrorists during the operations.

The sources said the successful operations inflicted substantial damage on the terrorists’ network and restricted their movement across the province. Security forces, they added, remain committed to continuing intelligence-based operations under Operation Rad-ul-Fitna-3 until terrorism is eliminated.

The federal government has designated terrorist groups operating in Balochistan as Fitna al-Hindustan, alleging that India is supporting a proxy war through militant outfits in the province. The military has described Operation Rad-ul-Fitna-3 as a counterterrorism campaign aimed at dismantling terrorist networks and their alleged foreign-backed support structures.

Interior Minister praises security forces

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi praised the security forces for their successful operations in Balochistan, commending their professional capabilities and determination in combating terrorism.

Naqvi said the operations had foiled what he described as the “nefarious designs” of Fitna al-Hindustan and Fitna al-Khawarij. He described security personnel engaged in counterterrorism operations as the “pride of the nation” and said terrorists would be eliminated from Balochistan with the support of the people.

The latest operation comes days after security forces killed 12 terrorists belonging to Fitna al-Hindustan during intelligence-based operations in the Washuk and Mastung districts, according to the military’s media wing.

Terrorism remains a major security challenge

Pakistan has witnessed a significant rise in militant violence in recent years. According to the Armed Conflict Location & Event Data (ACLED), the number of attacks recorded in Pakistan increased from 658 in 2022 to 2,425 in 2025. Over the same period, attacks attributed to the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) increased from 118 to 838.

While Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa has faced the highest level of militant violence, Balochistan has also remained a major target of terrorist attacks, including assaults on civilians, police and security installations.

On the last day of 2025, terrorists targeted civilians in Balochistan’s Gwadar and Kharan districts, resulting in the deaths of 18 people, including women, children, elderly people and labourers.

Security forces have continued counterterrorism operations across the province following repeated attacks on civilian and security installations.

Earlier this month, at least 30 people, including 27 police personnel, were martyred when terrorists, described by the state as members of Fitna al-Hindustan, ambushed police personnel deployed in the Kach Mangi Phase III area of Ziarat. The attack triggered prolonged gun battles, while several civilians and police personnel were reportedly abducted by the attackers.

Following the attack, the Pakistan Army, Frontier Corps and Balochistan Police launched a joint counterterrorism operation and intensified intelligence-based action against militant networks across Balochistan.

Security forces have vowed to maintain pressure on terrorist groups and continue operations aimed at dismantling their networks and preventing further attacks in the province.
