Shehnaaz Gill Praises Pakistani Dramas, Says Their Romance Has ‘No Competition’

Mumbai: Indian actress Shehnaaz Gill has expressed admiration for Pakistani television dramas, saying their unique style of portraying romance and emotions makes them stand out from productions around the world.

In an interview with entertainment journalist Faridoon Shahryar, the Bollywood actress spoke highly of Pakistan’s television industry and named Hania Aamir, Bilal Abbas Khan and Fahad Mustafa among her favourite Pakistani actors.

Shehnaaz also revealed that she enjoys watching popular Pakistani serials, particularly Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum and Meri Zindagi Hai Tu, praising their emotional storytelling and on-screen chemistry.

Explaining why Pakistani dramas appeal to her, Shehnaaz said their love stories are built on emotions rather than physical intimacy.

“The romance feels so natural. They don’t even need to touch each other to express love. The way Pakistani dramas portray affection without physical contact has a charm of its own. It feels pure,” she said.

According to the actress, the slow-paced storytelling and emotional depth keep viewers engaged and create a stronger connection with the characters.

“There is simply no competition for Pakistani dramas,” she added.

Shehnaaz Gill gained nationwide recognition after participating in the reality show Bigg Boss 13, where her candid personality and close friendship with the late actor Sidharth Shukla won millions of fans.

She later made her Bollywood debut alongside Salman Khan in Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan and has since appeared in films including Thank You for Coming. In addition to acting, Shehnaaz continues to pursue music and hosts celebrity interview shows.
