Pakistan, Türkiye agree to enhance maritime and transport cooperation
ISLAMABAD: (News Pulse) Pakistan and Türkiye have agreed to further strengthen bilateral cooperation in the maritime and transport sectors, reaffirming their shared commitment to enhancing economic ties, developing modern infrastructure, and promoting sustainable economic growth.
According to a press release issued by the Ministry of Maritime Affairs, the agreement was reached during a meeting between Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Muhammad Junaid Anwar Chaudhry and Turkish Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu in Istanbul on Friday.
During the meeting, the two ministers reviewed ongoing bilateral cooperation and held detailed discussions on expanding collaboration in the maritime, transport infrastructure, and logistics sectors. They emphasized that closer cooperation would further strengthen the economic partnership between the two brotherly countries.
Both sides also agreed to intensify joint efforts to develop maritime infrastructure and promote modern transport systems. The ministers noted that strong maritime and transport networks would not only facilitate trade but also enhance regional connectivity and contribute to long-term economic growth.
The meeting also explored opportunities for sustainable development and mutual investment in the maritime and transport sectors. Both sides expressed confidence that enhanced cooperation would further strengthen the longstanding partnership between Pakistan and Türkiye while promoting economic prosperity across the region.
