Iran warns of Crushing Retaliation against Israeli Diplomatic Targets
TEHRAN: A senior military spokesperson has warned that any attack on Iran’s diplomatic missions would prompt an immediate and strong response, stating that Israeli-linked diplomatic sites across the region would be treated as legitimate targets.
The spokesperson for Iran’s Khatam al-Anbia Central Headquarters cautioned against any aggression targeting Iranian embassies or diplomatic facilities, stressing that such actions would lead to decisive retaliation.
In a statement released on Saturday, the official reiterated earlier warnings and said that any strike on Iran’s diplomatic centers would trigger counterattacks. The remarks added that all diplomatic missions associated with Israel in the region could be targeted by Iran’s Armed Forces.
The spokesperson emphasized that Iran is prepared to respond swiftly and forcefully, highlighting the military’s readiness to act on its warnings.
The statement comes amid heightened tensions following large-scale military actions by the United States and Israel against Iran, reportedly launched after the assassination of Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, along with several senior military figures and civilians on February 28.
According to the report, the attacks involved extensive airstrikes on both military and civilian sites across Iran, resulting in casualties and significant infrastructure damage.
In response, Iranian forces have conducted retaliatory operations, targeting U.S. and Israeli positions in the region using missiles and drones.
