Pakistan, China Reaffirm ‘All-Weather’ Partnership as Ishaq Dar Meets Wang Yi in Beijing

Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar met with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi in Beijing during an official visit held at the invitation of the Chinese side.

The meeting took place in a notably warm and cordial atmosphere, featuring extensive discussions ranging from restricted talks to delegation-level engagements. Both leaders reviewed the entire spectrum of bilateral relations and exchanged views on key regional developments, particularly in West Asia, along with other issues of mutual interest.

Marking the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China, the two sides reaffirmed their strong commitment to further strengthening their All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership. They emphasized advancing high-quality development, expanding economic and strategic cooperation—including progress under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC 2.0)—and enhancing collaboration across multiple sectors.

Discussing the evolving situation in West Asia, both countries reiterated their shared commitment to promoting peace, stability, and dialogue. They also introduced a Five-Point Initiative aimed at fostering regional peace. Wang Yi appreciated Pakistan’s constructive diplomatic role in this regard.

Additionally, both nations reaffirmed close coordination at multilateral platforms and agreed to maintain regular high-level contacts.

The visit once again highlighted the enduring mutual trust, strong cooperation, and deep-rooted friendship that characterize Pakistan-China relations.
