Ayaz Sadiq  Hails PM Shehbaz Sharif’s Proposal for Impartial Investigation into Pahalgam Incident

ISLAMABAD: Speaker of the National Assembly, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, on Monday praised the proposal by Prime Minister of Pakistan, Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, for an impartial and transparent investigation into the Pahalgam incident.

Sadiq urged the Indian government to respond positively to Pakistan’s offer for a neutral probe rather than engaging in baseless accusations and misinformation campaigns. He emphasized that the proposal reflects Pakistan’s commitment to peace, transparency, and justice.

“The offer is based on goodwill and a genuine desire to uncover the truth,” said Sadiq, adding that it demonstrates Pakistan’s dedication to ensuring justice. He further called on India to accept the offer and avoid perpetuating false narratives or levelling unsubstantiated allegations against Pakistan.

“The proposal for an independent, transparent, and impartial investigation aims to identify the real perpetrators behind the Pahalgam tragedy in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir,” Sadiq stated. He also stressed that instead of engaging in a blame game, India should cooperate to ensure justice prevails.

Sadiq warned that any misadventure by India, using the Pahalgam incident as a pretext, would be met with a strong and decisive response from Pakistan. He reiterated that Pakistan’s armed forces are fully capable of defending the nation’s sovereignty and territorial integrity against any aggression.

“The belligerent attitude of India and its war hysteria threaten the peace and stability of the entire region,” he warned. “Pakistan’s brave armed forces are capable of delivering an effective response to any form of Indian aggression, and the entire Pakistani nation stands united with its defenders.”

The Speaker also condemned India’s efforts to manipulate the flow of rivers in violation of international agreements, referring to it as “water aggression.” He made it clear that such attempts would never succeed.

“Pakistan will not allow any compromise on its fundamental national interests,” Sadiq affirmed. “The people of Pakistan, along with the Parliament and all sectors of national life, are resolute in their commitment to defend the motherland.”

Sadiq also reflected on Pakistan’s ongoing fight against terrorism, noting the loss of over ninety thousand lives and the impact on the country’s economy. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s determination to maintain peace, but made it clear that any provocation would be firmly countered in defense of the nation’s dignity and sovereignty.

Finally, he urged the international community to take notice of India’s belligerent actions and called on India to conduct an impartial inquiry into the Pahalgam incident.
