New Zealand defeats Pakistan by 7 wickets to level the series 1-1

 

RAWALPINDI:  Kiwis beat Shaheen in the third T20 International match; New Zealand defeated Pakistan by 7 wickets to level the series at 1-1. Team captain Michael Bresol won the toss and invited Pakistan to bat first.

 

On behalf of Pakistan, captain Babar Azam and Saeem Ayub started the innings in an aggressive manner, but on the total score of 55, Saeem Ayub got out after making 32 runs with the help of 5 fours and one six. After that, Muhammad Rizwan supported Babar Azam well. And got out after making 33 runs with the help of a six, wicketkeeper batsman Muhammad Rizwan retired hurt after making 22 runs, after which Usman Khan could not stay on the wicket for long and could make only 5 runs. Shadab Khan scored 41 runs with the help of 4 fours and 2 sixes.

 

Irfan Khan remained not out scoring 30 runs and Iftikhar Ahmed 2 runs. Pakistan scored 178 runs for 4 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. On behalf of New Zealand, Ash Sodhi took 2 wickets while Jack Duffy and Braswell took one wicket each. In response, the visiting New Zealand team won the match by scoring 179 runs in 18.2 overs for the loss of 3 wickets. Mark Chapman of New Zealand made an unbeaten 87 runs with the help of 9 fours and 4 sixes to give victory to the team, among other Kiwi batsmen, Foxcroft 31, Tim Robinson 28 and Tim Seyfard stood out by scoring 21 runs. On behalf of Pakistan, Abbas Afridi took 2 wickets and Naseem Shah took one wicket. New Zealand’s Mark Chapman was adjudged player of the match.
