Julian Sands confirmed dead after human remains identified
Human remains recovered over the weekend in California were of actor Julian Sand, the San Bernardino Country Sheriff’s department said on Tuesday.
The 65-year-old British actor loved hiking and was reported missing after visiting Mount Baldy in January.
Forensic specialist identified the remain, discovered by hikers on Saturday, as those of Sands, 65.
Sands, 65, was best known for his roles Oscar-winning film A Room With A View and TV dramas 24 and Smallive.
His other credits included 2011,s the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, in which he appeared opposite Daniel Craig.
Sands disappeared on 13 January during bad weather in the baldy Bowl area of the San Gabriel Mountains.
