Supreme Leader calls for maximum deterrence, modern defence capabilities and expanded military preparedness across all operational fronts<\/p>\n

TEHRAN: Iran\u2019s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei has ordered the country\u2019s Armed Forces to deliver an immediate and effective response to any potential enemy threat, regardless of its nature, scale or geographical location.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The directive was issued during a meeting with senior commanders of the Iranian Armed Forces, where the Supreme Leader stressed that maintaining intelligent combat readiness for a powerful confrontation with adversaries was essential to achieving maximum deterrence.<\/p>\n

Ayatollah Khamenei<\/a> said any threat, at whatever level or in whatever form, must be met with an immediate and effective response without geographical restrictions.<\/p>\n

He warned that if Iran\u2019s adversaries resumed military or terrorist attacks, the timing and conditions for ending the confrontation would be determined by the Iranian Armed Forces and the nation.<\/p>\n

The Supreme Leader also called for strengthening the country\u2019s military intelligence structure, advancing indigenous defence capabilities in both doctrine and tactics, and developing modern defence and security systems through the adoption of advanced technologies.<\/p>\n

He further emphasised the importance of reinforcing the spiritual strength and jihad-oriented spirit of the Armed Forces, while ensuring that their personnel received adequate support and that their livelihood needs were addressed.<\/p>\n

In another key directive, Ayatollah Khamenei ordered the updating of Iran\u2019s target bank to ensure that all material and non-material assets of the American-Zionist adversaries remained within the operational reach of the Iranian Armed Forces.<\/p>\n

He described public support for the military as a fundamental pillar of national deterrence against foreign adversaries and their domestic allies.<\/p>\n

Referring to the continued public presence in support of the country, the Leader said the nation’s eight-month mobilisation in public squares represented an extension of the eight-year Sacred Defence, adding that public solidarity, together with the steadfastness of the Armed Forces, law enforcement agencies and Basij forces, had safeguarded and would continue to safeguard Iran\u2019s territorial integrity and Islamic system.<\/p>\n

Ayatollah Khamenei also praised the steadfastness of resistance movements in different countries, describing unity among the various fronts of resistance as a decisive factor with strategic implications for shaping a new political and security order in West Asia.<\/p>\n

He expressed hope that the emerging regional order would increasingly create opportunities for greater unity among Islamic nations and governments, paving the way for the establishment of a new Islamic civilisation.<\/p>\n

During the meeting, Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Major General Ali Abdollahi, Army Commander Major General Amir Hatami and Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Commander Major General Ahmad Vahidi briefed the Supreme Leader on the operational readiness of the country’s defence forces.<\/p>\n

The commanders presented reports on military preparedness along the Persian Gulf coast, in operational areas of the Strait of Hormuz and the Sea of Oman, as well as along Iran\u2019s northwestern and southeastern borders.<\/p>\n

They also informed the Leader about a several-fold increase in domestic production of various types of ammunition, reconnaissance equipment, logistical support systems and combat weapons.<\/p>\n

Expressing satisfaction with the reported progress and military preparedness, Ayatollah Khamenei directed the senior commanders to convey his appreciation to all personnel of the Armed Forces, law enforcement agencies, Basij forces and the Ministry of Defence, as well as their families.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
