TEHRAN:\u00a0 Iran\u2019s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Navy has claimed that four vessels caught fire in the Persian Gulf after allegedly violating designated maritime routes and engaging in ship-to-ship oil transfers, while three other vessels suffered incidents after striking mines west of the Strait of Hormuz.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In a statement issued on Thursday, the IRGC<\/a> Navy said the four vessels had previously violated designated shipping routes despite warnings issued to shipping companies, which it accused of being misled by the US military.<\/p>\n
