ISLAMABAD: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir has arrived in the Republic of T\u00fcrkiye on an official visit, where he is scheduled to participate in high-level engagements focused on regional security, defence cooperation and strategic coordination.<\/strong><\/p>\n

According to ISPR<\/a> that the visit comes ahead of the inaugural meeting of the Strategic Political and Defence Committee established under the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement, which is scheduled to take place in Istanbul on August 31. Pakistan will be represented at the meeting by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif and Field Marshal Asim Munir.<\/p>\n
