Pezeshkian Defends US MoU, Says Iran Will Never Bow to Aggression<\/strong><\/h3>\n

TEHRAN: Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has defended a memorandum of understanding (MoU) reached with the United States through the Supreme National Security Council, describing it as an \u201chonourable and valuable\u201d achievement approved and supported by all parties involved.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Addressing the 31st General Assembly of the Islamic Association of the Iranian Medical Community, Pezeshkian<\/a> said the agreement was reached through consensus within the Supreme National Security Council and had been firmly backed by those involved in the negotiations.<\/p>\n

The president rejected criticism from individuals outside the government who, he said, were commenting on the agreement without fully understanding the difficult circumstances facing the state, parliament and military leadership.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey cannot find even one clause in this agreement that indicates capitulation; all the commitments belong to the other side,\u201d Pezeshkian said.<\/p>\n

Defending the decision to end the conflict, Pezeshkian said bringing the war to an end while Iran remained \u201cstrong and powerful\u201d was the correct course of action. He claimed the international community recognised Iran\u2019s position and criticised the United States for attacks on schools, hospitals and infrastructure, which he said violated international norms.<\/p>\n

The Iranian president, however, stressed that the agreement should not be interpreted as Iran accepting pressure or aggression.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe will never bow to bullying. We will stand until our last breath and deliver a crushing response,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Pezeshkian also called for greater national unity, arguing that many of Iran\u2019s internal disagreements were driven by \u201cego and self-interest.\u201d He urged Iranians to accept differences in views and work together in the national interest.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf we are together, we are powerful, and if there is division, we will be destroyed,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Turning to the country\u2019s medical community, Pezeshkian urged doctors and healthcare professionals to focus on finding solutions rather than merely highlighting problems. He said the government needed the medical community\u2019s support to better serve the public and help establish a successful model of governance and development.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
