{"id":19377,"date":"2026-08-16T21:34:35","date_gmt":"2026-08-16T16:34:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newspulse.com.pk\/en\/?p=19377"},"modified":"2026-08-16T21:34:35","modified_gmt":"2026-08-16T16:34:35","slug":"iran-announces-reward-for-capturing","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newspulse.com.pk\/en\/2026\/08\/16\/iran-announces-reward-for-capturing\/","title":{"rendered":"Iran Announces Reward for Capturing or Killing US Soldier"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3><strong>Iran Announces Reward for Capturing or Killing US Soldier<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>TEHRAN: Iran\u2019s Army Commander-in-Chief Major General Amir Hatami has announced a financial reward for anyone who captures or kills an alleged US soldier and hands them over to Iranian authorities, amid heightened tensions between Tehran and Washington.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Speaking at a ceremony marking National Journalists\u2019 Day, Hatami said Iranian citizens were also supporting the armed forces through public fundraising campaigns aimed at strengthening the country\u2019s defense capabilities.<\/p>\n<p>Under the announced initiative, anyone who captures or kills a US soldier and hands them over to the authorities would receive 5 billion Iranian tomans, reportedly equivalent to around $30,000.<\/p>\n<p>Hatami said Iranian women who accomplish the same feat would be eligible for double the reward.<\/p>\n<p>He further announced that the weapon used in such an operation would be purchased by the Iranian Army at twice its market value and placed on permanent display in a dedicated military museum.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/@Iran_Army_Stan\">Iranian army chief<\/a> claimed that the country was rapidly rebuilding and expanding its defensive and offensive military capabilities.
