Authorities said floodwaters have submerged roads, damaged bridges and interrupted transportation, while electricity supplies and communication networks have been severely affected in many of the worst-hit districts.<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"http:\/\/@BDMOFA\">Bangladesh<\/a> media reports, seven districts in south-eastern Bangladesh have been severely impacted by the flooding, with thousands of homes damaged or submerged as rivers overflowed following continuous heavy rainfall.<\/p>\n<p>More than 200,000 people are believed to be stranded as rising floodwaters have cut off access to numerous towns and villages, leaving many communities isolated and in urgent need of assistance. Residents have sought shelter in safer locations, while many others remain trapped in inundated areas awaiting evacuation.<\/p>\n<p>Rescue and relief operations are continuing across the affected districts. The Bangladesh Army, along with emergency response agencies and local authorities, has launched large-scale rescue efforts to evacuate stranded residents, distribute food, drinking water and other essential supplies, and provide medical assistance to flood victims.<\/p>\n<p>Officials are closely monitoring the evolving situation as heavy rainfall is expected to continue in some parts of the country, raising concerns over further flooding and additional landslides. Authorities have advised residents living in low-lying and landslide-prone areas to remain vigilant and follow official safety instructions.<\/p>\n<p>Bangladesh experiences seasonal monsoon rains every year, which frequently cause flooding and landslides, particularly in vulnerable districts.
