The warning came as three more ships were reportedly attacked in the Gulf region, where shipping routes remain heavily restricted.

Iran launched new strikes against Israel and other targets across the Middle East, showing it still has the ability to respond militarily and potentially disrupt global energy supplies. This comes despite what the Pentagon described as the most intense joint US-Israeli strikes on Iran so far.

Earlier in the week oil prices surged due to the conflict, but they later stabilized as global stock markets recovered. Many investors believe that US President Donald Trump may attempt to bring the war to a quick end, nearly two weeks after it began with US and Israeli military actions.

However, fighting continues on the ground and the Strait of Hormuz—a key shipping route through which about one-fifth of the world’s oil supply passes—remains unsafe for vessels. This situation has created the biggest disruption to energy supplies since the oil crises of the 1970s.

Iranian military spokesperson Ebrahim Zolfaqari warned the United States that oil prices depend heavily on regional stability. He said the current instability could push prices to extreme levels. After a bank office in Tehran was hit overnight, he also warned that Iran may target banks that conduct business with the United States or Israel. Residents across the Middle East were advised to stay at least 1,000 meters away from bank buildings.

Meanwhile, an Israeli official told Reuters that Israeli leaders now privately believe Iran’s ruling system may survive the war. Other Israeli officials said there is no indication that Washington plans to end the campaign soon.

Iran Expands List of Potential Targets

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), through the Tasnim news agency, published a list of infrastructure operated by major US technology companies that it claims are connected to Israeli military activities.

The companies mentioned include Google, Microsoft, Palantir, IBM, Nvidia, and Oracle. According to the report, offices and cloud-service infrastructure in Israeli cities and some Gulf countries could become targets if the conflict expands into attacks on infrastructure.

Iran Calls on the United Nations to Condemn Attacks

Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi spoke with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres by phone to discuss the ongoing conflict. Araghchi urged the United Nations and the international community to strongly condemn what he described as US-Israeli aggression.

He said recent attacks had targeted schools, hospitals, residential neighborhoods, and historical sites, calling these actions violations of international law and humanitarian principles. Araghchi also emphasized Iran’s right to defend itself and warned that if the United States continues military actions, Iran could target US bases and facilities across the region, potentially expanding the war.

Guterres responded by stressing the importance of respecting international law and avoiding further escalation, while acknowledging Iran’s right to self-defense.

Talks With India on Regional Stability

Araghchi also spoke with India’s Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar about the regional situation. During the conversation, he described recent US and Israeli strikes and reiterated Iran’s determination to defend its sovereignty.

He also warned that the ongoing conflict has made shipping through the Strait of Hormuz increasingly unsafe and blamed US actions for the instability affecting global trade routes.

Jaishankar highlighted the importance of maintaining strong relations between Iran and India and stressed the need for diplomatic consultations to restore stability in the region.

New Attacks and Global Economic Concerns

Early Wednesday, Iran launched additional strikes across the region, including drones targeting a Saudi oil facility. The conflict has already caused rising energy prices, fuel shortages in some areas, and disruptions worldwide.

The International Energy Agency (IEA) is reportedly considering releasing a record amount of emergency oil reserves to stabilize global markets.

Leaders of the G7 nations are scheduled to hold a video conference to discuss the economic consequences of the war, particularly its impact on global energy supplies.

Meanwhile, air defense systems in Doha were reported intercepting Iranian missiles, while the United States announced strikes against Iranian vessels believed capable of mining the Strait of Hormuz.

Israel also carried out new airstrikes in Beirut and Tehran. According to reports, Israeli strikes across Lebanon on Wednesday killed 16 people and injured 26, and additional airstrikes targeted residential areas in Beirut and other parts of Lebanon.

Get ready for $200 oil, Iran warns tankers bound for US, Israel will be targeted IRGC identifies Google, Microsoft, plantir, IBM, Nvidia and Oracle as new targets Iran’s military command warned on Wednesday that global oil prices could rise to $200 per barrel as tensions continue to escalate in the Middle East.
