Khawaja Asif Warns of Regional Conspiracy, Terms Zionism \u2018Threat to Humanity\u2019<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Defence Minister Khawaja Asif<\/a> on Monday issued a stern warning over the escalating conflict in the Middle East, describing Zionism as a \u201cthreat to humanity\u201d and alleging a coordinated effort to destabilise Pakistan by extending Israeli influence to its borders.<\/p>\n

In a statement shared on his social media account, the defence minister claimed that the ongoing war imposed on Iran\u2014despite Tehran\u2019s readiness for diplomatic engagement\u2014was part of a broader agenda orchestrated to undermine regional stability and Pakistan\u2019s sovereignty.<\/p>\n

Allegations of Broader Agenda<\/p>\n

Asif asserted that the conflict surrounding Iran was not an isolated development but a strategic move aimed at bringing Israel\u2019s influence \u201cright up to Pakistan\u2019s doorstep.\u201d He described what he termed a \u201csingle-point agenda\u201d involving neighbouring countries to create hostility along Pakistan\u2019s borders.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe joint agenda of Afghanistan, Iran, and India will be enmity towards Pakistan,\u201d he said, warning that such developments could render Pakistan insecure on multiple fronts and reduce it to a \u201cvassal state.\u201d<\/p>\n

Criticism of Zionist Ideology<\/p>\n

The defence minister further alleged that Zionist ideology had dominated global economic systems and influenced major world powers for over a century. Referring to the establishment of Israel on Palestinian land, he claimed that conflicts in the Islamic world could be traced directly or indirectly to Zionist influence.<\/p>\n

\u201cZionism has controlled the world\u2019s economic system for a century. Major powers are held hostage by it,\u201d Asif stated.<\/p>\n

Call for National Unity<\/p>\n

Urging unity among Pakistan\u2019s 250 million citizens, the minister called on the nation to set aside political and religious differences in the face of what he described as external threats. He emphasised the importance of solidarity within the Islamic world and reiterated Pakistan\u2019s support for the cause of a free Palestine.<\/p>\n

Asif also paid tribute to Pakistan\u2019s armed forces, highlighting their global recognition and role in safeguarding national sovereignty. He credited the country\u2019s nuclear capability and defence strength to the sacrifices of martyrs and the political will of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif.<\/p>\n

Assurance on National Security<\/p>\n

Reaffirming Pakistan\u2019s commitment to peaceful and respectful international relations, Asif said the country harboured no hegemonic ambitions. He stressed that Pakistan seeks stability, growth, and prosperity while maintaining strong and \u201cimpregnable\u201d defences.<\/p>\n
