He expressed pride in the longstanding, all-weather friendship between the two countries and praised their close cooperation in the economic and defence sectors. The Speaker emphasized that Pakistan\u2013China relations are built on mutual trust and respect, reaffirming that both nations are strategic partners.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"860\" data-end=\"1096\">The NA Speaker further noted that Pakistan and China have always stood together in times of difficulty, adding that defence cooperation between the two countries plays a vital role in promoting lasting peace and stability in the region.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1098\" data-end=\"1292\">Recalling his earlier tenure as Speaker, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq termed President Xi Jinping\u2019s address to a joint session of the Parliament of Pakistan as a great honour for the Pakistani legislature.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1294\" data-end=\"1581\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zaidong appreciated the Speaker\u2019s positive remarks and said that the people of Pakistan and China share deep-rooted and enduring bonds of friendship.
