Trump urges Gaza ceasefire at UNGA, dismisses climate change as a scam <\/strong><\/h3>\n

United Nations<\/strong>– Former U.S. President Donald Trump<\/a> delivered a fiery and wide-ranging speech at the UN General Assembly, calling for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, denouncing climate change as a “scam,” and taking credit for averting global conflicts \u2014 while sharply criticizing the UN, Russia, and Western policies on migration and energy.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Ceasefire in Gaza: \u201cWe have to stop it\u201d<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Trump opened his speech with an urgent call to end the war in Gaza, where over <\/strong>65,000 Palestinians<\/strong> have reportedly been killed in Israel\u2019s ongoing military operations.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have to stop the war in Gaza immediately. We have to stop it,\u201d Trump said. \u201cWe have to get it done. We have to negotiate peace.\u201d<\/p>\n

He demanded the return of Israeli hostages and dead bodies held by Hamas:<\/p>\n

\u201cWe want all 20 back\u2026 We want actually the 38 dead bodies back too.\u201d<\/p>\n

Trump blamed Hamas for rejecting peace offers \u2014 a claim denied by the group, which accused Israel of obstructing ceasefire efforts. He also condemned the recent recognition of a Palestinian state by several Western countries, calling it a \u201creward\u201d<\/strong> for Hamas’ October 7 attacks.<\/p>\n

Climate Change: \u201cThe greatest con job ever\u201d<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Shifting focus to global climate policy, Trump reiterated his long-standing rejection of climate science, calling it:<\/p>\n

\u201cThe greatest con job ever perpetrated on the world.\u201d<\/p>\n

He criticized clean energy initiatives for harming national economies and praised Germany for returning to fossil fuels and nuclear energy after what he called a failed \u201cgreen experiment.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cNo more global warming, no more global cooling. All of these predictions\u2026 were made by stupid people that have cost their countries fortunes.\u201d<\/p>\n

His remarks came despite the UN issuing fresh warnings about rapidly accelerating ocean warming, extreme weather, and wildfires linked to climate change.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Russia-Ukraine War: \u201cIt did not turn out that way\u201d<\/strong><\/h4>\n

On the ongoing war in Ukraine, Trump said Russia\u2019s invasion has severely backfired:<\/p>\n

\u201cEveryone thought Russia would win that war in three days. It was supposed to be a quick little skirmish. It did not turn out that way. It is making Russia look bad.\u201d<\/p>\n

He criticized Europe for continuing to purchase Russian oil and gas and accused China and India of indirectly funding Moscow\u2019s war effort through energy imports.<\/p>\n

Trump also claimed he was unaware until recently that NATO countries had not fully cut off trade with Russia.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

India-Pakistan Conflict: \u201cI prevented a war\u201d<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Highlighting his diplomatic efforts, Trump claimed he personally prevented wars around the globe, including one between India and Pakistan<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

\u201cIn seven months, I ended seven unbendable wars. Some lasted 31 years, one 36, one 28 \u2014 Cambodia & Thailand, Kosovo & Serbia, Congo & Rwanda, Pakistan & India, Israel & Iran, Egypt & Ethiopia, Armenia & Azerbaijan.\u201d<\/p>\n

He did not provide specific details or evidence regarding his role in de-escalating tensions between New Delhi and Islamabad.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Harsh Criticism of the United Nations<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Throughout his speech, Trump ridiculed the UN\u2019s effectiveness:<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat is the purpose of the United Nations? They write strongly worded letters and never follow them up. Empty words don\u2019t solve wars.\u201d<\/p>\n

He also mocked the UN headquarters for having \u201ca bad escalator and a bad teleprompter,\u201d and claimed he once offered $500 million to renovate the complex, which was rejected in favor of a costlier and poorly managed alternative.<\/p>\n

Venezuela, Iran, and Global Migration<\/strong><\/h5>\n

Turning to global security, Trump vowed to dismantle Venezuelan trafficking networks<\/strong> allegedly run by President Nicol\u00e1s Maduro:<\/p>\n

\u201cWe will blow you out of existence.\u201d<\/p>\n

On Iran<\/strong>, he claimed he offered cooperation in exchange for halting its nuclear program, but said Tehran refused.<\/p>\n

He also accused the UN and International Organization for Migration (IOM<\/strong>)<\/strong> of encouraging illegal migration by providing food, shelter, and debit cards to migrants:<\/h5>\n

\u201cImmigration is destroying countries and must be stopped.\u201d<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Trump\u2019s Legacy: A \u201cGolden Age\u201d and Nobel Aspirations<\/strong><\/h5>\n

Positioning himself as a global peacemaker, Trump argued that his diplomacy, not the UN\u2019s, deserves recognition:<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s too bad I had to do these things instead of the United Nations.\u201d<\/p>\n

He portrayed the U.S. under his leadership as entering a \u201cGolden Age,\u201d blaming President Joe Biden<\/strong> for rising costs and weakened foreign policy.<\/p>\n
