{"id":16196,"date":"2024-12-29T22:47:09","date_gmt":"2024-12-29T17:47:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newspulse.com.pk\/en\/?p=16196"},"modified":"2024-12-29T22:47:09","modified_gmt":"2024-12-29T17:47:09","slug":"china-unveils-prototype-of-worlds-f","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newspulse.com.pk\/en\/2024\/12\/29\/china-unveils-prototype-of-worlds-f\/","title":{"rendered":"China unveils prototype of world\u2019s fastest CR450 train"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3><strong>China unveils prototype of world\u2019s fastest CR450 train<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>BEIJING: \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0A prototype of the CR450 EMU (electric multiple units) high-speed train, China\u2019s most recently designed high-speed bullet train model, debuted in Beijing on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>When operational, it is expected to reach a speed of 400 kilometers per hour, making it the fastest high-speed train in the world, according to the country\u2019s railway operator.<\/p>\n<p>The train will further shorten travel time and improve connectivity, making travel more convenient and efficient for the country\u2019s vast passengers, China State Railway Group Co (China Railway) told the Global Times on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>The CR450 prototype reached a test speed of 450 kilometers per hour, with key performance indicators operational speed, energy consumption, interior noise, and braking distance \u2014 setting a new international benchmark, the company said.<\/p>\n<p>The CR450 will be significantly faster than the currently operating CR400 Fuxing high-speed trains, which operate at a maximum speed of 350 kilometers per hour.<\/p>\n<p>CR450 high-speed train will lower operational resistance by 22 percent and reduce weight by 10 percent compared to CR400 bullet train, the company told the Global Times.<\/p>\n<p>The breakthroughs of the CR450 project will help boost China\u2019s railway technological innovation and independence, further strengthening the country\u2019s global leadership in high-speed rail technology, according to China Railway.<\/p>\n<p>China has built the world\u2019s longest and most advanced high-speed rail network and is ready to enhance passenger travel with faster, more comfortable, and efficient rail services.<\/p>\n<p>As of September, China\u2019s high-speed rail network exceeds 46,000 kilometers, accounting for over 70 percent of the global high-speed railway length.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Source: APP<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>China unveils prototype of world\u2019s fastest CR450 train &nbsp; BEIJING: \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0A prototype of the CR450 EMU (electric multiple units) high-speed train, China\u2019s most recently designed high-speed bullet train model, debuted in Beijing on Sunday.
