{"id":13494,"date":"2020-02-28T13:22:42","date_gmt":"2020-02-28T08:22:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newspulse.com.pk\/en\/?p=13494"},"modified":"2020-02-28T13:22:42","modified_gmt":"2020-02-28T08:22:42","slug":"fm-qureshi-to-represent-pakistan-at-the-signing-of-the-us-taliban-peace-deal-in-doha","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newspulse.com.pk\/en\/2020\/02\/28\/fm-qureshi-to-represent-pakistan-at-the-signing-of-the-us-taliban-peace-deal-in-doha\/","title":{"rendered":"FM Qureshi to represent Pakistan at the signing of  the US-Taliban peace deal in Doha."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Pakistan on Friday confirmed that Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi will attend the signing of the US-Taliban peace deal in Doha on February 29.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement today, SAMP, Dr.  Firdous, said Pakistan \u201cwelcomes\u201d the peace agreement between the US and the Taliban.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;On this occasion, FM Qureshi will represent Pakistan,&#8221; said  Dr. Firdos. &#8220;Emir of Qatar Tamim Bin Hammad Al Sani, foreign ministers of seven countries and representatives from 50 other countries will also attend the ceremony.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-13495\" src=\"https:\/\/newspulse.com.pk\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2020\/02\/fm-1-300x295.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"295\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Special assistant to the Prime Minister  Firdos  Ashiq Awan said that this historic progress towards peace in Afghanistan is the victory of Prime Minister Imran Khan&#8217;s vision and a testament of the exemplary role of Pakistan&#8217;s armed forces.<\/p>\n<p>She added that  Prime Minister Imran has always &#8220;supported the dialogue&#8221; to resolve the Afghan conundrum. Pakistan will continue to play its positive role for peace and stability, Dr. Firdous added.<\/p>\n<p>Last week, Qatar had invited Pakistan to attend the deal signing ceremony between the United States and the Afghan Taliban.<\/p>\n<p>On behalf of the Qatari Foreign Minister Muhhmad Bin Abdul Rahman Bin Sani, the invitation was extended by the Qatari Ambassador to Pakistan Saqr Bin Mubarak during a meeting with FM  Qureshi in Islamabad on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Pakistan on Friday confirmed that Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi will attend the signing of the US-Taliban peace deal in Doha on February 29.
