Mumbai: As excitement builds for Awarapan 2, Bollywood star Emraan Hashmi has taken fans on a nostalgic journey, fondly remembering the immense love and exceptional hospitality he received during his visit to Pakistan when the original Awarapan was released in 2007.
Speaking in a recent interview, Emraan recalled traveling to Lahore with filmmaker Mukesh Bhatt to promote the film, describing the experience as one of the most memorable moments of his career.
“When Awarapan was released in Pakistan, Bhatt saab and I went to Lahore. The reception we received was incredibly heartwarming. The people were so warm, and the hospitality was outstanding. They looked after us so well during the two days we stayed there. It was truly a remarkable experience,” the actor shared.
Emraan also made it clear that he never felt unsafe during his visit.
“There wasn’t any kind of fear. They are great people,” he said, praising the warmth and kindness of the Pakistani public.
The actor further revealed that his 2008 blockbuster Jannat also enjoyed tremendous popularity in Pakistan, adding that audiences across the border have always showered Hindi films and Bollywood stars with immense affection.
His heartfelt remarks quickly went viral on social media, where Pakistani fans expressed their admiration and appreciation for the actor.
