Pakistan, Bahrain Foreign Ministers Discuss Regional Situation, Stress Dialogue and De-escalation

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation today with Bahrain’s Foreign Minister, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani.

During the call, the two leaders discussed the latest regional developments and evolving situation in the Middle East and surrounding areas.

Ishaq Dar underscored the urgent need for de-escalation and emphasized the importance of dialogue and diplomacy in resolving tensions. He also highlighted the Pakistan–China five-point initiative aimed at promoting peace and stability in the Middle East and Gulf region.

Dr. Al Zayani appreciated Pakistan’s efforts to encourage dialogue and diplomatic engagement for maintaining peace and stability in the region.

Both sides also exchanged views on multilateral efforts, including at the United Nations Security Council (UNSC), and agreed to remain in close contact on the evolving situation.
