FO Spokesperson says Indian statement confirms Pakistan’s position after Balochistan Attack

DPM Ishaq Dar will present Pakistan’s position against Israel’s attempts to convert the occupied West Bank into so-called state land, Andarabi

ISLAMABAD: (Khawar Abbas Shah) Foreign Office spokesperson Tahir Hussain Andarabi has stated that the recent Indian statement following the terrorist incident in Balochistan validates Pakistan’s stance.

During a weekly briefing, Andarabi said Prime Minister will visit Qatar from February 23 to 24 at the invitation of the Emir of Qatar. The Emir expressed his desire to elevate economic partnership with Pakistan to the highest level. The Prime Minister also held meetings with Qatar’s Minister of Defence and Minister of State.

The spokesperson added that Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar is on an official visit to Saudi Arabia, where he will participate in the extraordinary ministerial meeting of the OIC Executive Committee in Jeddah. The emergency session, scheduled for February 26, will discuss Israel’s illegal actions and decisions in the occupied territories.

Andarabi stated that Ishaq Dar will present Pakistan’s position against Israel’s attempts to convert the occupied West Bank into so-called state land. He will also hold bilateral meetings with foreign ministers of OIC member states during the event.

The spokesperson recalled that this month marks the 19th anniversary of the Samjhauta Express attack, which claimed over 70 precious lives. Swami Aseem Anand and Indian Colonel Prohit publicly admitted their involvement in the attack.

Andarabi criticized India for failing to bring the perpetrators of the Samjhauta Express attack to justice, noting that all four convicts are still free. He strongly rejected the statement issued by the Indian Ministry of External Affairs, saying that it only confirms Pakistan’s position following the Balochistan terrorist incident.
