Pezeshkian declares Iran will stand firm in face of U.S. pressure

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian declared on Saturday that Iran will not give in to pressure from global powers during ongoing nuclear discussions with the United States. Speaking in a televised address broadcast live on state TV, Pezeshkian said that despite increasing challenges, Iran would not “bow its head” to external demands.

Tensions between Tehran and Washington are rising sharply as hopes for a diplomatic breakthrough over Iran’s nuclear program continue to fade. Officials from both countries, along with diplomats across the Gulf and Europe, warn that the situation is moving closer to possible military confrontation.

According to regional sources, Iran’s Gulf neighbors and Israel believe that conflict is becoming more likely than a negotiated settlement. The United States has significantly increased its military presence in the region, marking one of its largest deployments there since the 2003 invasion of Iraq.

Israeli officials reportedly view talks between Tehran and Washington as stalled and are preparing for potential joint military action with the United States. However, no final decision has been made regarding any operation. If carried out, it would mark the second U.S.-Israeli strike on Iran in less than a year, following airstrikes last June targeting military and nuclear facilities.

Meanwhile, oil-producing Gulf nations are bracing for the possibility of escalation, fearing that any military conflict could spiral out of control and destabilize the broader Middle East region.
