Iran Warns of Retaliation against US Military Bases across Middle East after Trump’s Threats
Iran has issued a strong warning in response to threats from former US President Donald Trump, stating that any attack on Iranian territory would result in strikes against American military bases and installations across the Middle East.
According to international news agencies, Iran’s reaction came after Donald Trump addressed Iranian protesters, claiming that help was on the way and urging them to seize constitutional institutions.
Iranian officials not only responded directly to the United States but also formally informed Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, and other Middle Eastern countries that if the US launches an attack on Iran, American military bases and facilities located within their territories would be considered legitimate targets.
Iran has urged these countries to activate their local intelligence networks and place security agencies on high alert to prevent the United States from using their soil for any military action against Iran.
Following these developments, Reuters quoted diplomatic sources as saying that the United States has instructed some of its military officers stationed at Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar—its largest military base in the Middle East—to temporarily leave.
In a statement, Qatar’s International Media Office confirmed that the temporary relocation of certain personnel from Al Udeid Air Base was carried out in response to the current regional tensions.
The statement further emphasized that the Qatari government is taking all necessary measures to ensure the safety and security of its citizens and residents, while also strengthening the protection of key installations and military facilities.
It is worth noting that Al Udeid Air Base is the largest US military base in the Middle East, hosting approximately 10,000 American troops.
