Indian public outraged over Modi’s rhetoric and handling of Pahalgam incident

New Delhi: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has sparked widespread public fury with his recent statement, where he claimed that “Hot Sindoor, and Not Blood, flows in my veins.” The controversial remark, which was intended to highlight his nationalistic fervor, has instead drawn severe criticism, especially from Indian women.

Many have lashed out at Modi for trivializing the sacred symbol of Sindoor, which represents marital status in Hindu culture. Women in particular have expressed their anger, accusing the Prime Minister of being a “Trader of Sindoor” and questioning how someone who could not safeguard it could truly understand its significance or value.
The controversy deepened as the public raised serious concerns about the government’s handling of the ‘Pahalgam attack’, where several women became widows in a terror strike. Despite widespread demands, no compensation has been provided to the victims’ families. Many have pointed out the apparent failure of security forces to apprehend the terrorists, who conducted the attack in the presence of heavy military deployment and managed to leave without being captured.

The public has raised pointed questions about Modi’s leadership, specifically his decision to accept a ceasefire on the orders of then-US President Donald Trump. Many are asking why Modi, who holds the office of Prime Minister, allowed such a compromise and why he did not visit Pahalgam to show support for the victims following the attack.
Additionally, public outcry has been directed at the media narrative, with many accusing “Godi Media” of blindly praising Modi’s actions without holding him accountable to the people. Citizens have voiced frustration, stating that while Modi is focused on running an election campaign in Bihar, the victims of Pahalgam are left without the care and attention they deserve.

As the debate over Modi’s leadership and actions intensifies, the public is demanding greater transparency, accountability, and tangible support for the victims of the Pahalgam tragedy.
