More than 5 kg of ancient coins were recovered from Mohenjo-Daro archaeological wall
More than 5 kg of ancient coins were recovered from the archaeological wall of Mohenjo-Daro, the ancient civilization center of Sindh.
Director Mohenjo-Daro Shakir Shah has said that during the repair of the archaeological wall, brass coins were found, weighing more than 5 kg.
He said that for the first time after a century, a large number of coins has been recovered from Mohenjo-Daro.
Shakir Shah further said that the coins recovered from the archaeological wall of Mohenjo-Daro have been shifted to the laboratory.
Earlier in 1922, 360 coins were recovered during the excavation.
